The problem I am facing is that my screen freezes randomly while playing games, but I can still hear the game sound. The PC itself does not freeze, and I can resume the game by alt-tabbing out and in. This happens mostly when I am using a menu in Cyberpunk 2077, but also occasionally in Baldurs Gate 3 and Rocket League. I have tried disabling hardware acceleration for the background applications, as well as Freesync, but nothing seems to work. I have also capped the FPS at 165 in Cyberpunk 2077, and monitored the GPU usage and temperature, which are both normal. My drivers are up to date, as far as I know.
Is
this a known issue with AMD GPUs or drivers? What could be the possible causes and solutions for this problem? I would appreciate any expert advice or suggestions. Thank you.
